Anders Solem, Executive Vice President, Fleet Development at XStar Aviation, leads the strategy and execution of the company’s business aircraft portfolio, covering acquisitions, dispositions, financing, insurance, and modernization. He is directly accountable for asset performance, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation across the fleet.

An MIT ROTC graduate and former USAF officer, Anders began his industry career at GE Aircraft Engines. Over 16 years he advanced to Corporate Officer, taking on progressively broader P&L, commercial, and product leadership roles across Asia and the United States. His remit spanned GE Aero, Energy, Oil & Gas, Water, Rail, Inspection Technologies, and GE Capital—experience that informs his integrated approach to asset strategy, customer value, and multi‑stakeholder alignment.

Recruited by Bombardier in 2011, Anders established and led the Asia‑Pacific region as Senior Vice President. He supported development and launch activities for the C‑Series (now Airbus A220) and opened new offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, and Singapore to scale Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support across growth markets.

He later joined Nordic Aviation Capital, the Danish aircraft financier and lessor, as Managing Director for APAC based in Hong Kong, continuing to deepen his expertise in asset management and international market development.

During the COVID period, he spent significant time in the U.S. from his home in Florida.

Prior to XStar Aviation, Anders served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Asset Management at Honda Aircraft Company in Greensboro, North Carolina, leading global new and pre‑owned aircraft sales, marketing, and customer engagement, while overseeing worldwide Dealers and Authorized Sales Representatives with full P&L responsibility.

He holds a B.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT and an M.S. in Astronautical Engineering from the University of Tokyo, completed in Japanese under a Japan Ministry of Eductaion (Monbusho) scholarship.
